Preparedness, Mitigation, Response and Recovery Workshop

to honor the 10^th Anniversary of 9/11

Register today to attend our Disaster Training and Recognize the 10^th Anniversary of 9/11 in a meaningful, proactive and life-saving way. 

Join us for a day of workshops to help hone your skills in building community resilience and increase your effectiveness in all phases of emergency management. 

On 9/11/2001 our fellow citizens demonstrated what it meant to be the true first responders.  This workshop is designed as a tribute and remembrance of their commitment to each other and to our capacity as human beings to push past our differences and to come together in times of adversity. 

This workshop is just another step toward realizing the ease at which we can create community, increase our level of safety and security in our neighborhoods, as well as lend our diverse skill sets to those in need, when it matters most.

The Agenda for the day is below

Registration begins at promptly at 0730,

classes begin at 0800 and run throughout the day, ending at 1800 hrs.  

Please arrive early as class will begin promptly at 0800 hrs

Snacks will be provided, lunch is on your own.

Leadership and Influence – 8:00am to 10:30am--2.5 hours -Alice Busch

Working with Spontaneous Volunteers - 10:30am to 12:30pm--2 hours - Shelli Johnson

LUNCH--12:30pm to 1:30pm--1 hour

Traffic Safety/Perimeter Management – 1:30pm to 3:00pm--1.5hours - Justin Ross

Psychological First Aid Training – 3:00pm to 6:00pm--3 hours - Judy Olivier
